The winter season is connected with the deep, dark mysterious archetypal feminine principle.

This is not a season to be running around like crazy or trying to live up to strenuous New Years resolutions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a time to sink inside, take time for yourself - a time to cherish the mystery of the darkness around you and inside you 📚 🖊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is there any way that you could set up a 15-minute ritual every day to sit quietly and deliberately honor the archetypal feminine, the darkness, the goddess inside? To dream about all the things your would like to attract into your life and to accomplish once spring returns? 🌱
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try looking for things that soothe and ground you, so that you can take extra good care of yourself 🍶
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
▪️ Light a scented candle
▪️ Put your feet up
▪️ Read a book or watch a movie with admirable female characters
▪️ Write in a journal
▪️ Make yourself (and really taste and savor) a good warm cup of tea, cocoa, coffee or my special soothing (alcohol free ) mulled apple juice

SUNDAY STORIES:
These are the opening lines of one of my favorite books: F Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender Is the Night 📚

There are two different versions of this book: the one that opens on the French Riviera and tells the story in flashbacks (this one) which was originally serialized in Scribner’s Magazine in 1934, and the chronological version published by Malcolm Cowley after Fitzgerald died.

I much prefer the original version which I consider a masterpiece.

It is an extremely autobiographical and thus painful novel, inspired by Fitzgerald’s marriage to Zelda.

Happy Moments:
Looking back at another difficult year, I am focusing on happy memories and moments along the way ⛵️

My trip to Nice in August was definitely one of the most soothing and replenishing things I did for myself in the past year 🍋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And the memory of A Buteghinna, this lovely, tiny restaurant - fitted charmingly into a small triangular flatiron space where two streets diverge - makes me smile every time I think about it 🍅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you ever go to Nice, be sure to check out @abuteghinna The food is traditional, wholesome, delicious Cuisine Niçoise, made from local produce bought fresh at the market. What could possibly be better? 🫑
